The project now has OPENAI_BASE_URL support for the OpenAI SDK path and direct embedding fetches. I'm running tests/build and checking whether LM Studio is actually serving on port 1234 right now.
@ Ran 3 commands
Tests pass. localhost:1234 is not responding right now, so LM Studio's server is not currently running or not on that port. I'm running the production build next.
@ Ran 4 commands
Master Brain does not currently expose an OpenAI-compatible base URL, so LM Studio would not work yet through the app. I'm adding OPENAI_BASE_URL support now, then I'll test whether anything is listening on localhost:1234.
@ Ran 9 commands
I'm adding this in the app layer first: chat, streaming, and direct embedding calls. I'm also documenting the exact LM Studio env values, with the local server caveat.
I'll verify it against the Master Brain OpenAI adapter. The key thing to check is whether our code exposes baseURL; LM Studio needs that for /v1/responses.

Quarantine location: Manifest (every move logged): .csv
Why free space hasn't moved yet
- Used: 1622 GB / Free: 240 GB (basically unchanged)
- Same-volume moves are instant renames — they don't free a single byte
- Free space only drops when you delete the quarantine folder
Next step — your call
The dupes are out of your live vaults but still on disk.
Now what?
1. Spot-check first (Recommended): Pick 20 random files from the manifest and verify each one's canonical copy in Vaults still exists and opens correctly.
2. Delete quarantine now: Wipe to actually free the 142 GB. No going back.
3. Leave it sitting for a while: Use your vaults for a few days. If nothing breaks, delete quarantine later. Safest, slowest.
Also tackle the other heavy folders:
Move on to _ SAFE-DUPLICATES-STAGED-20260401 (178 GB pre-staged) or DL DUMP 4-27 review.

Set the `base url` to point to LM Studio [#set-the-base-url-to-point-to-lm-studio]
You can reuse existing OpenAI clients (in Python, JS, C#, etc) by switching up the "base URL" property to point to your LM Studio instead of OpenAI's servers.
Note: The following examples assume the server port is `1234`
Python Example [#python-example]
```diff
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(
+ base_url="http://localhost:1234/v1"
)
# ... the rest of your code ...
```
Typescript Example [#typescript-example]
```diff
import OpenAI from 'openai';
const client = new OpenAI({
+ baseUrl: "http://localhost:1234/v1"
});
// ... the rest of your code ...
```
cURL Example [#curl-example]
```diff
- curl https://api.openai.com/v1/chat/completions \
+ curl http://localhost:1234/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
- "model": "gpt-4o-mini",
+ "model": "use the model identifier from LM Studio here",
"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Say this is a test!"}],
"temperature": 0.7
}'
```
Using Codex with LM Studio [#using-codex-with-lm-studio]
Codex is supported because LM Studio implements the OpenAI-compatible `POST /v1/responses` endpoint.
See: [Use Codex with LM Studio](/docs/integrations/codex) and [Responses](/docs/developer/openai-compat/responses).
***
Other OpenAI client libraries should have similar options to set the base URL.

Summary: Built the ByteRover SOP site (70 pages) and Supermemory SOP site (133 pages) with RAG chat working. Files mirrored to E:/Merltno Vault/Resources/SOP-Sttes/byterover-docs/.
Notable fixes:
- Pivoted to direct .md fetch after recrawl issues.
- Wrote Mintlify-VitePress converter for components like <Tabs>, <Steps>, <Card>.
- Switched to printf for Vercel env injection to avoid newline auth issues.
- Added cleanUrls: true to vercel.json.
Next steps:
- Ingest 133 .md files into Master Brain under 'supermemory' scope.
- Update agent descriptions for 'memz', 'dan', 'merlin', and 'gino' to include Supermemory awareness.
