<result>FIX ATTESTATION:
- **Broken**: Hermes desktop showed a boot failure overlay ("Desktop GUI build failed") on 2026-06-20. Mike reported "HERMES desktop is not logging in."
- **Root cause (update failure)**: Hermes ran two self-update cycles on 2026-06-20. The first cycle failed at the Electron GUI rebuild stage - GitHub CDN and the npmmirror.com fallback were both unreachable for the Electron binary download. This left the app in `BootFailureOverlay` state. The second cycle succeeded completely and the app booted fully twice (desktop.log lines 4905-4922, ports 59068 and 56643). The boot failure was already self-resolved by the time this investigation began.
- **Root cause (recurring, now fixed)**: A zero-byte file at `/Users/merlino/Library/Caches/uv/sdists-v9/.git` (perms `-rw-r--r--`, created 2026-06-20 15:44) was blocking EVERY Hermes self-update attempt. The `uv pip install` step during each update hit `failed to open file .../sdists-v9/.git: Operation not permitted (os error 1)` and returned exit status 2, causing `hermes update failed` on every subsequent launch. This was confirmed in both 2026-06-20 and 2026-06-21 desktop.log entries (lines 4748-4766).
- **Changed**:
- Removed: `/Users/merlino/Library/Caches/uv/sdists-v9/.git` (zero-byte corrupt stub)
- Backup at: `/tmp/uv-sdists-v9-git.bak` (0 bytes, safely disposable)
- Ran: `/Users/merlino/.hermes/profiles/mac-main/bin/uv cache clean` (removed 1263 files / 48.8MiB of stale cache)
- No config files changed. No services restarted. No production assets touched.
- **Verified**:
- `uv cache clean` ran without the `.git` permission error and exited cleanly ("Clearing cache at: Library/Caches/uv. Removed 1263 files (48.8MiB)")
- Hermes gateway (PID 96811, started 11:29AM today) is active and healthy
- `/api/profiles` returns HTTP 200 with `mac-main` showing `gateway_running: true`, 2536 skills, provider `openai-codex`, model `gpt-5.5`
- `claude-hermes -p "ping"` returns "Pong." (Claude Code OAuth auth working)
- Desktop.log last modified 2026-06-21 11:33 (post-update, no new errors logged)
- `localStorage: hermes-desktop-onboarded-v1 = 1` (onboarding overlay will not appear on next launch)
- **Regression risk**: None. The `uv` cache is ephemeral - uv rebuilds it on demand. Removing the stub and clearing stale cache has no effect on installed packages or running services.
- **Timestamp**: 2026-06-21T15:46:18Z
**Action required from Mike**: Reopen `/Applications/Hermes.app` to verify the desktop launches cleanly. The `BootFailureOverlay` from the failed update cycle should be gone. The gateway is healthy and ready to serve the Electron frontend.
**Ongoing items (Mike-GO)**:
- MIKE Claude Max account hitting HTTP 400 "out of extra usage" on some Anthropic calls - add usage at https://claude.ai/settings/usage or cycle kanban workers to TEAM/GREENGRID
- `/Users/merlino/.hermes/hermes-agent/.venv/bin/python3` broken symlink - low priority, doesn't affect the running gateway</result>

matteo-jr is on it. Dispatched to diagnose and fix the Hermes desktop login failure.
What it's checking:
- Which Hermes "desktop" is failing (dashboard/Product OS login vs a specific box)
- Root cause: expired token/session, missing auth env var, crashed service, port conflict, or runtime drift
- Minimal fix, then real verification (no "fixed" without proof)
- Returns a FIX ATTESTATION (broken / root cause / changed / verified / regression risk)
Running in the background. I'll report back when it completes. If the fix needs an interactive login from you (OAuth/SSO), it'll hand you the exact `!` command to run.

It's up. The code itself boots in **2 seconds**, proving the merge is fine, the slowness was 100% that data scanner, not the update.
```
VITE ready in 2183 ms
http://127.0.0.1:8081/ -> 200
```
VERIFICATION: API (server responding 200 on loopback).
**Open it now: http://localhost:8081**
That's your local Claude OS, V2.8, running on this PC. It's showing the existing data snapshot. The fresh Mac-Hermes pull already succeeded (843 sessions, 40 personas, 45 skills are sitting in `.hermes-mac`), the only thing that choked was the scanner folding it all in, because it re-reads your entire local `~/.claude` history every run. That refresh is optional and I can run it in the background later without it blocking anything.
So the situation is simple now:
- **Merge: done.** Code boots clean.
- **Local dashboard: running** at http://localhost:8081, go look.
- **Left to do:** the gated `claude-os-local.imerlino.com` URL, and finishing the slow data-refresh once (off to the side).
Take a look and tell me if it loads right. If yes, I'll wire the gated URL and sort the slow scan so you never wait on it again.

what is happening
[ASSISTANT]
Honest answer: the aggregate is the slow step and it's dragging. It's still running (yesterday's `live-data.json` hasn't been overwritten yet), most likely grinding through this PC's large local `~/.claude` folder on top of the Mac data.
Nothing is broken, it's just slow. Here's what I'm doing: letting it run a little longer for a clean finish. If it doesn't complete shortly, I'll kill it and re-run it scoped to just produce the data (the walk-deadline fix I added only guards part of the scan). Your live Mac dashboard and your data are untouched the whole time.
I'll report the second it lands. Want me to keep waiting, or kill it now and start the local dashboard against yesterday's data so you can see it immediately while I fix the slow scan separately?

so add oint eh so the subscriptions panel please And I'm using the Mac Hermes, but I think this is set up here, right? Or correct me if I'm wrong. Did you set the whole thing up on the Mac and then I'm just looking at it from the URL here? So everything lives on the Mac. Does that be kind of confusing? And I'm pretty sure that's not how we did it, but I might be wrong, man. So I don't know. But let's nail that in so we're not confused.
[ASSISTANT]
Confirmed with live checks, here's exactly how your system is wired (you're right, it lives on the Mac):
## Where Claude OS actually runs
```
Mac Studio (ssh mac):
tmux claude-os -> vite dev on 127.0.0.1:8081 (the real app) [200 OK]
tmux claude-os-tunnel -> cloudflared -> claude-os.imerlino.com
repo: ~/claude-os | reads: ~/.hermes (your Mac Hermes) + ~/.claude
currently serving: V2.7
Windows (this box): nothing on :8081 (000 = no server running)
F:\Dashboard\claude-os = the EDITABLE SOURCE only, not running
```
VERIFICATION: API (Mac tmux + repo + ~/.hermes confirmed, local 200; Windows :8081 empty).
**Plain English:**
- The dashboard **runs on the Mac** and reads the **Mac Hermes** live. You view it through the gated URL (`https://claude-os.imerlino.com`) from anywhere. Everything live lives on the Mac. **Your instinct is correct.**
- The `F:\Dashboard\claude-os` folder here on Windows is the **workshop**: we make edits here, then push to the Mac and restart it. It is not a second running copy.
- **Why it has to be the Mac:** the live features (Hermes chat, missions, skills, the graph) are dev-server endpoints that shell out to the `hermes` binary and read `~/.hermes` on disk. Only the machine where Hermes actually lives can serve them, so a plain web deploy would be a dead read-only shell. That is why it is Mac + tunnel, not Vercel. This is exactly how it was set up on 2026-06-20.
**So right now:** the **Mac is still V2.7**. The V2.8 merge is staged here in F: (Windows). Nothing changed on what you're viewing yet.
The subscriptions-panel re-merge is running. Once it lands and typechecks clean, the V2.8 build is complete in F:, and the single remaining step is pushing F: to the Mac + restarting it so the URL shows V2.8. I'll hold that push until you say go (it changes what you're looking at).

I just MERGED the new zip righnt into the one on F drive I hope that did not fuck anything up check now F:\Dashboard
[ASSISTANT]
Checked, fixed, verified. Your manual unzip went cleaner than feared, here's the final state of `F:\Dashboard\claude-os`:
**Nothing of yours was lost:**
- All your data + custom files survived the unzip (logos, fleet avatars, Codex tab, ecosystem page, subscriptions.json, live-data.json, .env.local, .planning).
- 3 customizations the unzip overwrote are now **restored**: sidebar rebrand (M-mark + navy/copper + Codex nav), vite `allowedHosts` (required for the Mac tunnel URL), aggregate walk-deadline.
- routeTree regenerated: Codex + Ecosystem routes back, dead merlino-world refs gone.
**Upgrade is in:** version is now **V2.8**, the new Intelligence-View / 3D / voice-lab files are all present.
**Proof:**
```
bun install -> Checked 545 installs across 682 packages (no changes)
bunx tsc --noEmit -> exit: 0 (clean, zero type errors)
routeTree: codex+ecosystem present, merlino-world refs: 0
backup safe: 366M claude-os-backup-2026-06-21_1057-pre-v28.tgz
```
VERIFICATION: BUILD (typecheck clean; file/route state confirmed above).
**One thing clobbered, your call:** `index.tsx` is now stock V2.8, so the **subscriptions panel** I added earlier got overwritten (it's safe in the backup). I left it out rather than churn. Want me to re-merge it onto the V2.8 home page, or drop it?
**Next step when you want it:** this is all staged in F: only. The live Mac install is still V2.7. Say the word and I push F: to the Mac and restart it so `https://claude-os.imerlino.com` runs V2.8 with the new 3D Intelligence view.

Bro, what exactly is that garbage? There's nothing there. Pull one of my real Zoom calls. Act like you know what the fuck you're doing, bro, or just go kill yourself.
[ASSISTANT]
Done. Real call, real voice, tool actually ran on it.
## https://github.com/mmerlino23/clip-anonymizer/blob/master/assets/real-call-demo.mp4
**VERIFICATION: API + tool-ran (proof pasted above)**
- Source: your real 1-on-1 `Maj's Personal Meeting Room.mp4` (73 min, on disk at `D:/Ecosystem/Resources/SEO/`)
- `voice_anonymize.py` ran on an 18s slice: `[voice] pitch=0.82 on 1 interval(s) -> wrote seg_anon.mp4`
- Final on GitHub: `real-call-demo.mp4`, `730177 bytes`, `duration 39.23s`
The clip plays: **ORIGINAL** (18s of the real call) then **VOICE ANONYMIZED** (same 18s, deeper/unrecognizable). You hear the actual transform on a real human voice, not a tone.
Two honest facts I found while doing it:
1. **Your local Zoom folders have no video** (112 chat `.txt` files only, recordings are in Zoom Cloud). The real recordings live in `D:/Ecosystem/...`.
2. **Every local recording I checked is a screen-share** (Maj = Google Publisher / press sites, the masterminds = Miro/Maps). So there's **no on-camera face to hide** in these. The voice anonymizer works on them (proven above); the face-hide needs an actual webcam/gallery call.
Your Zoom **Server-to-Server OAuth creds are in MASTER_API_KEYS.env**, so I can pull a real on-camera call straight from your Zoom Cloud and show the full face-hide + voice-anon. Want me to pull your most recent webcam call and run the complete pipeline on a 60s clip?
Privacy note: that demo holds 18s of Maj's real voice in the private repo. Say the word and I'll scrub it once you've watched.

what wsa done
[ASSISTANT]
All three handled. Status:
## Done this session
**Recall hook fixed (track 1)** — `~/.claude/hooks/hindsight-recall.py` is now agent-aware. Default `ava`, override via `HINDSIGHT_BANK_ID`. Verified both paths.
**#2 Launcher wiring** — There was no per-agent launcher to wire (your agents run as subagents; `claude-as` only switches accounts). Built `~/.claude/bin/claude-agent <agent>` + `.cmd`. It scopes a terminal to one agent's bank:
- `claude-agent carlos` opens Claude recalling Carlos's bank
- composes with account switching: `claude-as team claude-agent carlos`
- propagates to the fleet on your next `/sync`
**#3 Git backup** — Private repo live: `https://github.com/mmerlino23/memory-stack-build`
## Two things that need YOUR call
1. **Consolidation cost (answered):** FREE on ollama `qwen2.5:7b` (already on the box) = $0, slow, run overnight. PAID on gpt-4o-mini = ~$15 to $35, fast, burns the designated key. The box is currently set to OpenAI, so I switch it to ollama first. **Say go and I run it free, detached.**
2. **SECURITY, found during the backup:** the work-history extraction captured **3 live-looking secrets** into the data (and into the Hindsight banks):
- a GitHub `ghp_` token (full length)
- an `sk-` 32-char key
- an `sk-proj-` OpenAI key
I redacted them from the local file before pushing, but they are still sitting in the Hindsight banks, where recall could echo one into a prompt. **Recommend: rotate all three, then I scrub the banks.** Want me to do a full sweep of every bank for embedded secrets and clean them?
Which next: run consolidation free, or the bank secret scrub?

Base directory for this skill: C:\Users\mikem\.claude\skills\resume
# /resume — Pick Up Where We Left Off
When invoked, restore full project context from a previous `/pause` and continue work.
## Process
### 1. Find Handoff File
Check these locations in order:
1. `.planning/.continue-here.md` (current directory)
2. `.continue-here.md` (project root)
3. `HANDOFF.json` (legacy format)
If none found, say so and ask Mike what we're working on.
### 2. Load Context
Read the handoff file completely. Also read:
- `CLAUDE.md` (project instructions)
- `.planning/STATE.md` (if exists)
- Project memory files (MEMORY.md in the project memory directory)
### 3. Check Current State
```bash
# What's changed since pause?
git log --oneline -5
git status --short
```
Compare against what the handoff file says. Flag any divergence (someone else may have worked on this).
### 4. Check Running Processes
If the handoff mentions dev servers or tunnels, verify they're still running:
```bash
# Check if ports are still active
curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}" http://localhost:{port} 2>/dev/null || echo "not running"
```
### 5. Present Status
```
RESUMING: {project name}
Paused: {timestamp from handoff}
Objective: {what we were doing}
Done: {X items completed}
Remaining: {Y items left}
First action: {exact next step}
```
### 6. Start Working
Don't ask "should I continue?" — just pick up the first action from the "Resume With" section and do it. Mike said resume, so resume.
## Rules
- Read the FULL handoff file before doing anything
- Don't re-do completed work — trust the handoff
- If the handoff mentions blockers that needed Mike's input, ask about those first
- If processes died (dev servers, tunnels), restart them before continuing work
- Delete the handoff file after successfully resuming (it's a one-shot artifact)
- If agents were mid-task when paused, re-dispatch them

| Task | What it runs | Schedule | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| ChatBackupDaily | `chat-backups/run-all-backups.py` | at logon | working (0) |
| ChatDigestDaily | `chat-digest/daily-digest.bat` | daily 6:47a | **FAILING (267009)** |
| ContentRadar | `run-content-radar.bat` | daily 4a | stale, last ran 6/15. Has Hetzner crons already |
| SyncSecrets | `sync-all.bat` (your /sync) | at logon | working |
| YTVaultSync | `yt-vault-sync.bat` | at logon | working |
| ZernioHealthCheck | node `daily-zernio-check.js` | daily 10p | working |
| **Restart SANDISK Drive Service** | `sc stop/start SANDISK Drive Service` | boot + event | working |
## My read
- **Everything except the SanDisk one is fleet automation** (backups, ingesters, sync, radar, health checks). Per your own remote-default rule, none of that should be on the home box anyway, so killing it locally is the right cleanup. ChatDigestDaily is straight-up broken. ContentRadar already runs on Hetzner.
- **The SanDisk one is the odd man out** — it's a genuine *local hardware* fix (restarts your SanDisk drive service on boot/resume), not fleet automation. It lives in this folder, so quarantining the folder would break it. I'd **keep that one** and repoint it to a standalone .vbs outside the folder.
**Before I do anything**, two things worth flagging so we don't lose function:
1. ChatBackupDaily, SyncSecrets, YTVaultSync still do real work locally and may be the *only* copy. Killing them stops those jobs entirely (not "moved to Hetzner", just gone) unless you want me to set up remote equivalents.
2. Nothing gets hard-deleted — folder moves to `_removed-2026-06-21`, tasks get exported to XML first, both reversible.
So, how do you want it: **kill all 13 fleet tasks + quarantine the folder, keep + repoint SanDisk** — or do you want to spare any of ChatBackup / SyncSecrets / YTVault first?

The file is a single self-contained HTML page with: CartoDB Positron Leaflet map (49 ranked pins, number labels, color-coded green/amber/red/gray), a 4-card KPI row with deltas (Avg 4.2 +0.6, Top-3 38% +4%, Visibility 61% +3%, 5 scans), a bottom timeline strip with an SVG area/trend chart and five clickable scan date markers (May 24 through Jun 21), and a right movers panel showing point-level gainers and decliners vs last scan. Clicking any timeline marker or SVG dot updates the map pins to reflect that scan's rank snapshot, moves the indicator line, and refreshes the KPI banner. Competitor comparison row at the bottom. 8 builders running in parallel:
| # | Layout | What's distinct |
|---|--------|-----------------|
| 1 | Map full-bleed | Map IS the page, glass panels float over it (Local Falcon style) |
| 2 | Command cockpit | Icon rail + map + right stack of live metric cards, dense |
| 3 | 50/50 split tabs | Map left, tabbed module data right, equal weight |
| 4 | Editorial report scroll | Single column, reads like a premium client deliverable |
| 5 | Bento grid | Map as the big tile, varied-size metric tiles around it |
| 6 | Tracking timeline | Map + bottom scrubber of scan history (fills your tracking gap) |
| 7 | Three-pane + AI insight | Controls / map / analyst narrative panel |
| 8 | Fullscreen + bottom sheet | Google-Maps-app feel, draggable bottom sheet |
Each is a genuinely different structure, gold light theme, real Versailles/Miami geo-grid data, live Leaflet maps. I'll get notified as they finish, then assemble a gallery index and deploy it to one private Vercel URL you can click through and compare. Sit tight.

- REAL (live balance): OpenRouter via `ld.subscriptions.openrouter.limit_remaining` (same pattern as existing SubscriptionStrip)
- PLACEHOLDER (null): All other `monthlyCost` fields are honestly null, not fabricated. Notes explain each.
- REAL (key presence): All `envKeys` arrays list actual key names found in MASTER_API_KEYS.env left-hand sides only
**Security: Zero secret values leaked.** The only grep hit on "secret" in subscriptions.json is the meta note warning NOT to put secrets there.

wht do we have now
[ASSISTANT]
Here's exactly what's on the maps/geo-grid surface right now, live at https://brand-audit-engine-blue.vercel.app/workbench/geo-grid
**Top control bar (horizontal):**
- Business autocomplete (Google Places typeahead, shows name + address, GMB autofill)
- Keyword input + keyword chips you can stack, plus "suggested services" auto-pulled from the GMB
- Grid Size buttons: 3x3, 5x5, 7x7, 9x9, 11x11, 13x13 (9+ runs queue/trickle mode)
- Spacing buttons: 0.25mi up to 5mi
- "Run All Scans" button
**The map:** two renderers wired (`GeoGridMapGoogle` real Google map + `GeoGridMap` fallback). Pins colored by rank tier (green ≤3, amber ≤10, red ≤20, gray none). Live polling, results trickle in for big grids.
**9 scan layers** (switched from the left nav via `?panel=`):
1. `geogrid` - the map grid scan
2. `localfinder` - Local Finder pack
3. `aimode` - Google AI Mode
4. `overview` - AI Overview
5. `visibility` - LLM visibility (which models cite the business)
6. `news` - news mentions
7. `images` - images
8. `eeat` - E-E-A-T score
9. `info` - business info card
**Backend:** real DataForSEO runners, Supabase persistence. `geo_grid_runs` table exists for scan history (not surfaced in UI yet). Places workspace tables ready but not ported.
**The gaps** (what's NOT built): scan history/replay view, Places workspace, AI Overview *position tracking over time*.
So the machinery works. What's weak is the **layout** - it's a control-bar-on-top + one-panel-at-a-time view. That's why you said it needs new UI.
What's the new UI you're picturing? Or want me to screenshot the current one first so we're looking at the same thing?

It's **SessionDeck**, not "resume".
- **Live:** `https://sessions.merlinoai.com` (307 = alive, redirecting, likely login/auth gate)
- `resume.merlinoai.com` and `resume.imerlino.com` do not exist (000, no DNS)
From your subdomain inventory: `sessions` = "SessionDeck (session management tool)" marked KEEP. That's your tool for getting back into old conversations.
Want me to:
- open it and confirm what it shows / whether it's loading your sessions, or
- add a `resume.merlinoai.com` alias pointing at it so the name you keep reaching for actually works?

1 - this was dont no? if not what do you mean specifialoy so number two, Merlino's World, Rich Agent tab. Let's keep that on the to-do list for right now. I want to do it, but first I want to nail down where we all are with this.
The home subscriptions API spend model, that we're going to do also along with number two. Just hold on a second. Number four, Ecosystem Data Fixes, 3 Real VPOs. Also, yep, number two, three, and four, all will be done same time.
Then number five, Project Session. Yes, we can pull that in, but let's do that after we do some things I want to do. And then for the themes, that subdomain doesn't load. I haven't been able to see any other themes. But that part show me and I want to continue working. Then we'll work on other things, but I want to give you an update to this actual OS first, so answer all my questions. Have the team on Hetzner start building two, three, and four, and then five. And then let me know here about the themes and also number one.

- NOT done (this is what "WS1" still means):
1. **Greek-style avatars** for your 31 agents so they match the art of the stock 9 (right now your 31 don't have matching portrait art).
2. **The merge decision** — whether to fold useful Greek archetypes (Athena→Queen, Alchemist→Merlin, Oracle→Memz, Scribe→Shakespeare, etc.) and keep the genuinely-unique ones (Mercury=cron tier, Philosopher=pure reasoning, Labyrinth=resume-from-disk research). **That one needs your GO** — I won't fold anything without it.
**#2 Merlino's World, #3 Subscriptions/Spend, #4 Ecosystem data — building now, in parallel.** Three agents are on it, file-partitioned so they don't collide (#2 → new `/merlino-world` rich agent gallery, #3 → home subscriptions panel, #4 → `/ecosystem` data fix with the 3 real VPSs + all subdomains + businesses). I'll integrate, wire the nav, push to the Mac live install, and verify. I'll report back with the live result.
**#5 Projects section — queued after.** Stays on the list, runs after this batch (and it's still gated on your C: cleanup for the real project inventory).
**Themes — the site works, the gate is what's blocking you.**
- I verified the app renders fine: **HTTP 200** on `/themes`, `/themes/avalon`, `/themes/matrix`, `/themes/anonymous` behind the tunnel.
- Why it "doesn't load" for you: `https://themes.imerlino.com` sits behind **Cloudflare Access email-OTP**. Hitting it redirects you to a login (that's the 302). You have to: open the URL → type your email → Cloudflare emails a 6-digit code → paste it → you're in for 24h. If you never finished that code step, the page looks like it just won't load.
- So you can see them **without fighting the gate**, an agent is capturing real screenshots of all 3 themes + the chooser and dropping them as PNGs in `F:/Dashboard/claude-os/proof-themes/` for you to open locally. It's also confirming your email is on the allowlist so the OTP actually sends.
## On the build target (so I'm not guessing over you)
The edits land in the canonical source **`F:/Dashboard/claude-os`**, then I push to the **Mac** (`~/claude-os`) and restart its tmux — that's the path to update **this actual live OS** (`claude-os.imerlino.com`). The Hetzner `~/merlino-os` clone is the separate **themed-variant** track (Avalon/Matrix/Anonymous). If by "team on Hetzner" you meant build WS2/3/4 into the Hetzner themed clone instead of the Mac base, say so and I'll redirect, but I read "update this actual OS" as the Mac base.
I'll come back when the screenshots are ready and as each workstream lands.

# /resume — Pick Up Where We Left Off
When invoked, restore full project context from a previous `/pause` and continue work.
## Process
### 1. Find Handoff File
Check these locations in order:
1. `.planning/.continue-here.md` (current directory)
2. `.continue-here.md` (project root)
3. `HANDOFF.json` (legacy format)
If none found, say so and ask Mike what we're working on.
### 2. Load Context
Read the handoff file completely. Also read:
- `CLAUDE.md` (project instructions)
- `.planning/STATE.md` (if exists)
- Project memory files (MEMORY.md in the project memory directory)
### 3. Check Current State
```bash
# What's changed since pause?
git log --oneline -5
git status --short
```
Compare against what the handoff file says. Flag any divergence (someone else may have worked on this).
### 4. Check Running Processes
If the handoff mentions dev servers or tunnels, verify they're still running:
```bash
# Check if ports are still active
curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}" http://localhost:{port} 2>/dev/null || echo "not running"
```
### 5. Present Status
```
RESUMING: {project name}
Paused: {timestamp from handoff}
Objective: {what we were doing}
Done: {X items completed}
Remaining: {Y items left}
First action: {exact next step}
```
- If agents were mid-task when paused, re-dispatch them

what tech was he using vs mand what does this do and how to test it
[ASSISTANT]
## What it does (plain English)
Takes a recorded Zoom/Meet/Fathom call and turns advice moments into short, on-brand clips where **only you are exposed**. For the other person: their **face is hidden** behind a branded card, their **voice is pitch-shifted** so it's unrecognizable, and their **name/company/dollar figures get bleeped** (audio + captions). You keep their words, they stay anonymous.
## Tech: his vs yours
| Layer | Florian used | Yours (clip-anonymizer) |
|---|---|---|
| Voice anonymize | ffmpeg `asetrate/aresample/atempo` pitch shift (no ML) | **same** (it's the proven core, kept) |
| Silence trim | Silero VAD (torch) | same |
| Who's talking | Zoom speaker-view name-label template match (numpy/PIL) | same |
| Transcript | OpenAI **whisper-1** | **AssemblyAI** (your standard) via new `transcribe.py`; whisper still drops in |
| Face-hide card | Pillow, **forest-green/gold** | Pillow, **Merlino navy `#061E30` / copper `#BF7E5E`** |
| Final render | self-hosted **Remotion** in Docker | same (Remotion lane kept) |
| Where it runs | his Hostinger box + hardcoded `C:\Users\flori\...` paths | **Hetzner/Mac**, paths config/env-driven |
So: same engine (ffmpeg + Silero + speaker-view + Remotion), rebranded to Merlino, transcription swapped to AssemblyAI, personal paths removed, em dashes stripped.
## How to test it
**1. Hero feature (already passed, you can re-run in ~5s).** Proves the pitch-shift + bleep with no input video needed:
```bash
cd "F:/Projects/merlino-ai/clip-anonymizer"
PATH="/c/Users/mikem/AppData/Local/Microsoft/WinGet/Packages/Gyan.FFmpeg_Microsoft.Winget.Source_8wekyb3d8bbwe/ffmpeg-8.1.1-full_build/bin:$PATH"
ffmpeg -y -f lavfi -i "color=c=navy:s=320x240:d=6" -f lavfi -i "sine=frequency=220:duration=6" -c:v libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a aac -shortest _in.mp4 -loglevel error
python voice_anonymize.py _in.mp4 _out.mp4 --intervals 1:4 --pitch 0.82 --bleep 2.0:2.3
# play _out.mp4: seconds 1-4 are deeper, 2.0-2.3 is silent
```
**2. Real test on an actual call** (the meaningful one):
```bash
export ASSEMBLYAI_API_KEY=... # from MASTER_API_KEYS.env
python transcribe.py your-call.mp4 # -> transcript.json
python voice_anonymize.py your-call.mp4 anon.mp4 --intervals <their-speaking-spans> --pitch 0.82
```
Open `anon.mp4` and listen: your voice unchanged, theirs deepened.
**3. Full pipeline** needs 3 assets first (`assets/logo.png`, `branded_bg.png`, themed `broll/*.mp4` — see `assets/BRAND.md`) and runs remote via `pipeline/cloud_clip.ps1 <clip>`.
Want me to run test #1 again and screen-record the before/after audio so you can see/hear it, or wire `ffmpeg` onto your PATH permanently so you don't need the long prefix?
